Releases: open-dis-rust v0.1.0 & v0.1.1

I’m a little late on posting this since I did release v0.1.0 on October 26th, but I am posting nonetheless. The first official release version(s) of open-dis-rust are now available on GitHub and crates.io! There are a number of changes that have been made, and all of those can be found on the changelogs posted on this website and within the GitHub repo.

If you use this crate and experience any bugs, or if you maybe have some features that you want added to the library, just create a bug report or feature request on the repository, and I will address it as soon as possible.

This has been over a year in the making. I started this project back in the autumn of 2023, and I thought I’d have it released way sooner. It took a lot of time and effort, and it still may not be entirely polished, but I truly believe that this crate is the most complete implementation of the IEEE 1278.1-2012 Distributed Interactive Simulation application protocol that is publicly available. I would greatly appreciate feedback to keep it that way.

I am proud of the work I have done so far on this project, and I look forward to maintaining it for as long as it is in use. In the meantime, I am shifting focus towards another project that will depend on this crate. I’ll have more details on that in a future post.

Cheers for now, and thank you to anyone out there who reads these and supports me!
